Ok... I wanted to check on this before I actually went to the doctor to make sure I wasn't wasting my time.

I work five days a week as a reservationist for a large hotel company at the beach. I also go to school full time and work as a substitute teacher three days a week. Needless to say, I have a lot of stress in my life. However, lately I find myself going nuts at my hotel job. Sometimes I get so rude with people for no reason, especially when I get busy. Sometimes i feel so anxious I just have to get up and walk away because I am afraid I am going to go off on someone. I also find myself getting stressed more and more at school also.

I was just wondering if there was something a doctor could do for me, just to calm me down. I mean maybe some medicine or some techniques to calm me down. And if so, what type of doctor do I see?

Just wondering if anyone has any advice...

Anxiety is such an awful thing to have. you can see a therapist to help you learn good ways to help yourself deal with it. you could try some medications. Along with anxiety comes depression most of the time. so you might try a medication. There are lots of breathing exercises and even yoga. you should talk to a doctor b/c this is so treatable.

Well, in your question you described a pretty hectic lifestyle for anyone. If your anxiety is a direct result of the environment you are in, then medication is not the right choice for you. Maybe you could make some adjustments in your life to lessen the amount of stress you have to deal with. I would recommend making an appointment with a psychologist that specializes in anxiety issues.
