I want my rechargeable battery fully charged all the time. If the charging time is 10-15 hours and I charge it beyond its charging time will it damage the battery?

well first what is it in? most modern chargers have smart tech. which shuts off the charger when the battery is full, leaving it plugged in for long times is fine, however, every week at the longest, run the battery completely dead and re charge it, this helps to keep the batteries "memory" (ability to retain a charge) fresh. also when getting a new battery, like if you get a new cell phone, take it home, and charge it, then use it until it is completely dead, i mean it won;t even turn on. charge it up and repeat at least twice more. this helps extend the charge time of your battery, you will out last all your buddies :D also for older batteries that seem to go dead sooner, take it firmly in the palm of you hand and smack on a counter top of similar surface 2 or three times and repeat the new battery procedure.

Heat is what destroys batteries. Over charging them creates heat.

If you can leave the batteries plugged into your charger, and they are not hot (you should be able to comfortably hold the battery in your hand), then you can leave it in the charger as long as you want.

Over charge will shorten the life cycle of the batteries. Charge them during low batt and it will last longer life.

I pretty sure that over-charging them doesn't hurt anymore. It used to but I think technology overcame that little issue.
