I use a mix of ground beef and ground pork sausage, lots of seasoning, actually before I put anything in the pan, I turn the heat on low and add chili powder and let it heat up, lots of spice but be careful if it starts to smoke you'll be coughing from the peppers burning your throat.
Anyway, I use tomato juice as the base.
I hate chunky stuff so I don't use any cut up peppers or tomatoes and I don't add beans, my hubby is the only one who likes them in his chili so he adds them to his own bowl.
The kids and I dip peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in ours! Yum!

I use a mixture of ground beef and mild breakfast sausage, chili-ready beans, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, Worchestershire sauce, diced onions, onion and garlic salt, black pepper, and some sugar.

My husband calls it "sneaky chili" because it goes down so smooth and mild. . .then hits your stomach and causes a nice 'glow' about half an hour later.

Shredded cheddar and crackers. Yuuumy in my belly.

Oh you didn't mean after it's cooked. Just go easy on the chili powder. Too much makes it taste cheap.

I put green peppers, and melted dark chocolate just to make it a bit creamy I just put it innear the end until it melts - not a lot though, just a bit, it is amazing!
I also use tomatoes, onions, kidney beans, chilli powder, diced tomatoes, scellery, ground beef, salt and pepper, garlic and it is good!

fresh hot peppers from the garden, i like to use ground turkey instead of ground beef. and all kinds of different beans, like black beans, kidney beans, chili beans, pinto beans, and navy beans. oh, and for the secret spice that isnt spicy, but just brings out the flavors, use just a tiny tiny tiny bit of cumin.

I posted this question last week and got a lot of great answers.

The answer I chose as best was red wine.

My "secret" ingredient is unprocessed cocoa.

Hot sauce, like the kind you put on tacos. Just buy the extra hot variety.
