Help i need fund raising idea's......?

i have been given approval from the councel to open a homeless shelter and i need as many fund raising idea's that anyone can come up with..... please

Candy bars go over big. Especially if you can send them with people to work. Set them on the end of your desk and watch them go!

A "white elephant sale" (garage sale) works well too. People are willing to donate items (especially during spring cleaning) just to "get rid of them.

A 50/50 at community events.

A spaghetti dinner or pancake breakfast are low in cost to host.

Depending on where you live, how about a variety show or talent show?

Our church has an annual "talent auction". People donate their talents or time to the highest bidder. This is a lot of fun. We have donations from kids, (babysitting, crafts, yard work) as well as elderly, (afghans, woodworking, baked goods) and everyone in between. People have donated a dinner in their home, gardening plants, fruits and veggies from their gardens, a mechanic's 1 hour worth of labor, a singing telegram, pet sitting, and so much more.

ok: here's an idea that your "Orginization can do is get some
Volunteers together also plan the Food Drive Program as each one Sponsors towards 1 Community which they help
