No. And neither would the Pentagon or Congress.

Of course, Bush would have to come with something more plausible for Iran than he did with Iraq...

Nope. I'm not speaking for all Americans, but I will say this, most of us would NOT support Bush in an invasion. I'm also not a supporter of the Iraq war - never was and never will be. One thing I will say though, the British soldiers need to be taken out of Iran, somehow. Someone's got to do it.

He would have to come out with something other than "Trust me I am telling the truth"
He would have to go back to Congress. If he does not, all hell will break loose here. The standoff that exists now with Britain would not be an excuse although we are trying to act like the all great conqueror with the "war games" the US is having on Iran's doorstep.
Contrary to the link provided to you about the "weakness" in Iran's army. nothing could be further from the truth. They are not Iraq and they also showed an army size in their war games which was contrary to the link provided.
Their armed forces are estimated at 1.6 million as of 2005 (CIA estimates). Talk about the possibility of overwhelming force

No!!! 49% of us did not support him to go to Iraq, as an American I can tell you I felt cheated since the get go. ( I'm from Florida so I KNOW my vote did not count the first time he got elected, his brother Jeb is the governor so go figure).

However Iran is different, Amadhinejad makes Bush and Blair look like Eistein and Darwin, plus Iran being a theocracy does not help at all.

Bush is a Turd. Plain and simple. Iran is a country that, left alone would not be much of a danger to anyone but themselves.
The only reason we are at war in the first place is because middle eastern oil interests are the main sustenance of the US economy and Bush is in bed with the Oil execs. IMO the current foreign policy practice in place in this administration has the potential of tilting the world into a third world war. If that were to happen I dont think that our economy would hold and I think that the US would crumble.

No, unless seriously provoked.

It's unfortunate that the Iranians are choosing the path of nuclear isolation and trying to barter with the Brits in all the wrong ways over their marines.

But the people of Iran don't necessarily back the actions of the government, so all should turn out ok in the end.

Socialist liberals would never go along with any action that would protect Amercian lives. Their only desire is to Tax and control the lives of all Americans. The Communist Queen of New York and Sheik Obama are home bleaching their white flags waiting for the opportunity to wave them in the faces of our enemies.

NO.

Bush lied about the "need" to go to war in Iraq. Most Americans no longer believe anything Bush Jr says.

Many would support a war with Iran. Many would not.Since the country's involved have been posturing for many more years than I have been alive I hope something becomes of this because many more people are so disgusted with a world built on fear that our species really does not qualify as spiritual.
