A few things:

Keep at it. How long have you been running? Soreness will dissipate as your body adjusts to it.

Drink lots of water.

WARM UP. Always do a shorter run before you do your real run.

Cool down is good too, but I think less critical than warm up - at least for soreness, your joints may hate you if you don't cool down.

Stretch after you run too. Oh, and do your first stretches after warm up, but before real run.

For relief: I find hot baths are good.

Try running every other day, and drinking a lot of water to flush out the lactic acid that causes the pain in your legs. It's actually advised to skip a day because of this. You will tone faster if you give your legs a day to heal in between, and run less risk of doing real damage.

Yeah. Don't run every day.
Your muscles need time to repair and rebuild after excercise.
NOT allowing adequate time for the repair process will result in a condition called atrophy, which weakens and shrinks the muscles.

Soak in the tub with Epsom Salts. It should relieve your soreness a great deal. You may still have a slight residual soreness but it should be manageable.

Remember to warm-down after your run, and take a hot bath, that will help a bit. But as they say; "No Pain, No Gain"
