I am a Christian and I experience "deja vu" a lot. I believe it is a moment when I am aware that where I am at is part of the big eternal picture. I call them eternal moments. God's way of showing me I am right where I am supposed to be. I most often have them when I am dealing with things in my life I find unpleasant and wish was not happening.

Often I feel like I'm "reliving" a few moments of time, and I know what's going to happen next & exactly what the person will say. Spooky at first, but gets easier. I always figured it was just a "time warp" or worm hole or maybe another dimension crossing ours. Really don't know what causes it.

Deja vu is pretty much your conscious mind remembering something that was only experienced in your subconscious mind; often times, the "memories" of the subconscious are dreams that were had that go unremembered.

Skeptics say it is just an abboration of the mind, caused by chemicals.

Personal experience has led me to believe that we can have a preview of things to come via our dreams. I kept a dream journal for years, and found that events that happened to me could be traced back to dreams that gave me important details, sometimes whole scenes that later took place.
