There is an interesting underlying assumption to your question: that your opinion determines whether Hell exists or not.
Actually the existence of Heaven or Hell is not a question of opinion. They either exist or they don't. Question of fact.
There are millions of people all over the world who have had near-death experiences who know that both places exist from their own experience. This group includes many former atheists.
Go to near-death.com if you REALLY want to know more.
(I expect that most atheists are too close-minded to do it!)

Read Revelation 7:4, this tells you the number of humans that will be given a spiritual body, and be a part of the Kingdom of God and His Christ, described at 1 Corinthians 15:50 Hell has the same translation of Hades, which is the place of the dead. Read Ezekiel 18: 4, This explains that souls do die, so there is not a "thing" that exists after death. This is why Jesus raised people from the dead, to prove that the resurrection spoken of would happen. ! Corinthians 15 1-14 and 18

I get the most thumb-downs on religious questions but who cares. The answer is that you would still go to Heaven because belief in Christ is the main thing. You have to do more than acknowledge that He existed, however. You have to believe that He was the true Son of God. Even Satan and the Demons belive that Jesus existed, they even talked to him.

You just have to believe in Jesus. In other words, you have to trust him and him alone as your only way to Heaven. You can't trust your good works. It will be sad though if you don't believe in Hell because if you did, you could be saving many people from having to go there. You see, if you don't think there is a Hell, then you will not be concerned so much if a lost person dies. However, if you believe in Hell, you would be very concerned because you don't want anyone to go there.

Read John 3:16. It tells you specifically how to have eternal life. It has nothing to do with believing or not believing in Hell.
ADDITIONAL: after reading other answers, I feel sad that so many people think the existence of Hell is why you should believe in Christ! Believing in Christ should be spurred on by LOVE (love of God sending his Son, love of the Son for sacrificing himself for our sins). The gift He gave us is forgiveness; which leads to eternity with God.
Using the negatives (for instance Hell) to pressure someone into have faith in Christ is counterproductive in many ways, and pushes some people away from acceptance and belief. Many Christians do not believe that Hell is an actual place, but rather being in the absence of God.
There is no downside to being a Christian. Using "strong arm" methods in evangelism doesn't work, and is actually sinful in itself as it pushes people away from Christ.

I think the best way I can answer this, in part, is to tell you a saying that was given to me many years ago. Believing means to be and live in. I have been applying this ever since I heard it, it makes total sense to me. If you apply this definition to the word believe, where you have used it, your question becomes very simple to answer. I'm sure you can see it yourself.
As for the last question you posed; If you believe in Jesus Christ ( be and live in ) you would eventually arrive in Heaven! You would believe in it ( upon arrival at the latest ) for you would be being and living in!

Believing or not believing something doesn't make it appear or disappear. I can decide to believe that that oncoming semi isn't really there. That's not going to change reality - the semi is still there and will still hit me.
Same with things outside of our understanding. We can believe something is true with our whole being - but that doesn't make it so.
Most people believe in heaven and hell etc. They don't know what's really there in an after life. And believing whatever you want isn't going to change the truth of what is going to happen after we die. Which still remains a veiled mystery to us all.

Yes, someone will probably end up in hell even if they don't believe in it because that means they probably don't believe in Jesus Christ either. No Jesus Christ, no Heaven. No Heaven, that means hell.
If somebody doesn't believe in Heaven, they probably don't believe in Jesus Christ. Then again, even Satan believes in Jesus Christ. If they don't believe in Jesus Christ, they won't "go" to Heaven, as Jesus Christ is the only way to get to The Father, who is in Heaven.

I hate to say it, but - does it really matter? If someone believes you're going to hell, but you don't believe in hell - where do you go? I mean, can you imagine when the Pagans learned that they were sentenced to hell by the Christians? They must have thought it was the silliest thing they've ever heard of. I think the safest thing to say is that you will not be uncomfortable wherever you go. I can't explain it, but I guess you'll have to meditate on it for yourself.

I think I had one to many to answer this question. If you don't believe you will go to hell.. that's what I believe... you are running out of opportunity's to accept him! If you believe in Jesus you have to believe in Heaven.
