start off with a better homes and gardens recipe book, and honestly subscibe to Gourmet Magazine, i know that sounds a little advanced, but they also have 30 minute meals included in ever issue, and im telling you from experience, their simple 30 min meal tastes like you spent all day cooking it, they are all incredible. i just made Pork Chops Au-Pouve from thier latest issue, spent 30 minutes making it and only had to buy one ingrediant, the rest i had in my kitchen already. ill give you that recipe if youlike, but really, the magazine is the way to go.

just rememebr the basic stuffs, and create some new dishes.
i pre-mix the seasoing, it is some chicken power, larry's seasoning, some pepper, and chill power and garlic power. then. when i want to bake something, i just put the mixed power with some olive oil. then, i am all set. ;) very simple and easy.
for fries, i got many different favor sauce from the supermarket, such as Thail chicken sacue, curry, sweet and sour, satay, when i also finish the cooking, i add some sacue on, and mixed with it. then, i am done. ;)
you can always have some concerntrate juicy at home, and when someone come over, you can just mixed it. also, some chip and Salee dessert from super market. and cut it when you are ready in a good time.
good luck.

I was a bachelor"ette" once and I was sent off into the cruel world with my moms betty crocker cookbook. They still sell at any bookstore. Red and White checked cookbook cover. This cookbook is still the one I go to most.

They have an entire series of different books. Some good recipes - some not. Just like any cookbook.
