you must be able to fit all liquids/cosmetics in a small zip lock bag(sandwich bag size), which will be scanned seperately.

You are allowed to bring liquids and gels in 3 oz containers and they must be packed in a 1 qt. clear zip lock bag. If you decided to pack those types of items in your checked luggage they don't have to be limited by size. For the complete list of what is allowed and not allowed you should go to the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/

All liquids must be 3.4 ounces/100 ml or smaller and must be able to fit in a one quart zip top bag. Only one bag is allowed per passenger. For more information go to http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm It is important to note that this only applies to items carried in your carry on baggage and not your checked luggage. You are allowed to take full sized bottles in your checked luggage.

You are allowed to bring sodas, water and other liquids in larger sizes if they are purchased once you have passed through security and are in the secure boarding area.

The TSA has this silly but sticky "3-1-1" rule...

- All containers should be no more than 3 ounces
- They should fit comfortably in a 1 quart ziplock bag (as long as the zipper closes, they don't mind)
- 1 bag per person
