Don't be mad at her. I know how you feel, believe me. My husband had given me a diamond and we went together to have some work done on it and the sales person opened the box and then decided to shut it and bring it back to us and tell me to open it. I did as she asked and the diamond was gone. Even though my common sense was screaming at me that she lost it I still blamed myself and I felt terrible for it. It did not mean that I didn't love my husband (fiance at the time). A couple of months alter, she called saying she found it and put it in the safe but then she was out sick for several months. If my husband decided that I wasn't worth it we wouldn't be together today. We are married with children and we couldn't be happier. A ring is monetary. Love is a part of your soul. She made a mistake. Don't make a mistake by throwing her away for a mistake.
Good Luck!

Well it seems that either she took it off and misplaced it and is just now telling you, or she did loose it and was afraid of telling you. Things happen and of course since they do it would have been better that you have had insurance on the ring when you bought it, yes you did ask her several times to get the insurance on it and she didn't, by that time you should have just taken her and the ring and gone to the place for the insurance and get it yourself.
Things happen and she didn't misplace the ring on purpose and I know at this moment you feel that that was what happened. Be calm and keep looking for it, it might turn up in a strange place.
See if she may have taken it off when she was washing dishes or taking a shower.

What's the question? If there's no insurance, you're pretty much out of luck.
When I got my ring, I asked my fiance if he got it insured, and he said not yet. I asked him a few times (2 days in a row). I then called on my own and bought it the next day (3 days after I got it). I now have the peace of mind that comes with knowing if I lose it or anything else happens to it, I can get a replacement.

Honestly, you should have put insurance on it right after you bought it. That's what my fiance did just in case. How did she lose it?
You essentially have two options now--either you buy her a new ring or you live out the rest of your engagement without a ring and she will just wear a wedding band when you get married.

Oh my god! That is horrible!! You spent all that money on a ring for her and she lost it? I would think that if you had it custom made then it did fit her so she took it off somewhere... Maybe because shes cheating on you and she didnt want the guy to see the ring... (harsh i know but it could be true) or she really did lose it but i highly doubt that. because my grandparents have been married for 62 years and my grandmother who is still living hasnt taken her ring off since the day my grandpa put it on her finger. she refuses to take it off

sounds like someone is out of luck now if she was held at gun point and gave it up OK but if not then i guess she will have to be happy with a wedding band of some kind till maybe your 10th when you can buy her a nice anniversary ring! how did she lose it? i have never taken my ring off somewhere that was not safe and don't normally any way but when i do i usually have my husband hold it or place it in a really safe place!

I would check all pawn shops in your area and search the house. Top to bottom.
I knew a girl that pawned her ring to get high. Is she into drugs? Does she own a lot of money? She should have had insurance on the ring.
If you don't want to marry her she is legally obligated to give you or the money of the ring back to you.

I am sorry that she lost the ring. Why was the ring off her finger in the first place. Unless it was too big then it could have slipped off but other than that your never take of your ring. If your the type of person to take off your rings when you are washing your hands then keep a zipplock sandwich bag in your pocket.

Keep looking. It was you wifes fault because if she knew it was THAT precise that would have NEVER happened. We make mistakes and we get on with life even when it's as tough as a situation that you have to be involved with right now.

They should have offered you some kind of insurance when you bought it, look through your paperwork. If not, your out of luck.
Reconsider the relationship if she is so careless with something so important. Let her pay for it to be replaced. I hope she shows some kind of remorse for it, otherwise you should be worried.
