I am so sorry. When someone you love human or furry friend passes on...it is so hard. But after the pain goes away, you'll find yourself smiling and enjoying the memories that you had of your sweet pal. Hang in there!!

I'm so sorry to hear this but the pain will ease as time goes by, yet you will always remember your precious pet. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do but treasure the memories and endure the pain. When I was a little girl approximately 10 years old someone poisoned our dog and when my daddy told me all I could do was to put my head under the covers and cry myself to sleep. It doesn't hurt so much anymore but that is something I will never forget. On the other hand I have some delightful memories of my brother and I having lots of fun with that dog.
I wish you comfort and peace as you go through this very heartbreaking time.

its ok to be sad, and to cry and miss him(her). I had my dog for 16 years before we had to have her put to sleep. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. I thought I would never be the same again. That was in October. I still think about her every day, turn around and expect her to be underfoot again. I miss her, but the hurt is gone. I don't cry as much but i think of her everyday.
Be sad, cry and mourn for your loss. It's natural and a good thing. Remember the fun you had and keep that joy in the front of your mind.
Nothing is forever so enjoy what you have while you have it.

You have to realize that when you have a pet things are things like that happen. The same thing happened last year to me a week before school started. My cat died; she was 18 years old and such a dear heart I miss her dearly, but what made me feel better was the comfort from my family, pictures, and memories. I hope that helps you? And expressing your feelings help too ( not trying to sound corny!!!). : )

I just lost one of my dogs last week unfortunately there really is nothing you can do but remember your dog. Cry cry lots that's what i did we just got his ashes back yesterday and I cried again. I am making a movie with pictures and music of him to help me get through it. We all need to grieve in our own way find yours and work from there. When your ready if you feel up to it ask to get another dog.

I don't really know the right answer to this. I have a dog who is 5 years old, and I love her. I don't know what I would do either. But, it's just the cycle of life, and your dog is in a great place. It will be okay.. there is nothing you can do about it, and there is nothing your dog could do about it. It is out of your hands and it will be okay. Hang in there.

Been through this with 6 dogs now - it's like a family member dying sometimes. Time is the cure - gradually the pain will go and you will just remember the good times you had with your pet.
Keep your chin up.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my pet dog too in a road accident and it was a hit-and-run case. He died on the spot.
Cheer up honey. Time will heal your wounds. Take it easy. Yes I cried too. Just let it go and you feel better.
Life is such....sigh!

Is just an animal you don´t have to behave in that way when it´s about an animal, people get over deaths from their relatives or parents and that´s really traumatic, just try to forget it, I recommend you to buy another dog ( not the same specie because you will expect that dog to be as great as the last one and if it don´t you will feel more depressed ), of another specie that you like. Have fun with it and enjoy life ! it will pass
