We've decided on no attendents at our wedding. My fiance's son (11) will stand with him until my sons (19, 23) walk me down the aile. The 3 will then sit with my sons girlfriends in the front row. That works...but during the ceremony who will I give the bouquet too? I thought about handing it off to one of my sons before they sit and then they would hand it back at the end. Other ideas? thanks!

Thanks for all the good advice....
I'm thinking one of my sons will take it when he sits down. My mom would have been the first choice...but she passed away 3 1/2 years ago. As far as witnesses...we have 90+ at the wedding and any two can sign the license...so we are covered... :-)

Put it down on a table nearby you.

When the pastor asks if you have the rings, have that be someone's cue to come up and take it from you then sit back down. Do the ring ceremony, then when that part is done, have that person return the bouquet to you. Pick someone who will be in the front row.
Unfortunately there is a reason why we have attendants, they actually do serve a purpose. =)

If your going to have your mother or an aunt or cousin sitting on the front row you could hand it to them. Or, if their is anything between you and the preacher, you could put one of those bouquet holders on it and set it there during the ceremony. Like it becomes part of the decor or something. Good Luck!

A small decorative table situated next to where you will stand? How about a reliable friend on the front row?

My maid of honor was a male who under no circumstances was touching my flowers.
We had a table set up just to the side of us that had the marriage certificate we were to sign and I put my flowers on that. It made for nice pictures when it came time to sign the registry.

I'd give it to your momma, or set up a little stand where you can put it. Or maybe consider a nosegay instead of bouquet? It hangs from your wrists, so you wouldn't have to hold it.

I thought you had to have wittnesses at the wedding. I know I did and that was five years ago. Are you sure you don't need them? Who signs the certificate?

Truly, I've seen the officiant hold it underneath their book/bible. Then your flowers still show and it puts a smile on everyone's face.

Ask your Mom or a close female friend to hold it. They will be happy to be asked to help out.
