Does anyone know if you can get Google Earth in real time? All of the images that I get are from at least one year ago and I was looking for something a little more current. Can someone point me in the right direction? And yes I have been to the Google Earth site and I didn't see anything that mentioned real time imagery.

I've heard that the pictures are put together using different images at different times, but can I get real time images?

In large part this is for security reasons. Non-current data prevents terrorists from using satellite images to ill gain. There are semi-current satellite images available by subscription to developers, Realtors, etc., but for occasional use it is not cost effective.

It is not real time. In fact the individual pictures are from many different dates, many years apart.
