I'm interested in buying a Canon SD700 IS or something along that line. But then I'm also considering a Rebel TX, depending on how cheap they are in China.

I'm not travelling there but my uncle is and I won't be able to contact him during his stay so I need to find out exactly how much they will cost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Staci - I live in Shanghai, there is not much difference, in fact you will get better deals in the USA during holidays, it is not worth it, wait for a good holiday sale and by it in the USA, Oh sorry I did not see that you live in Trinidad and Tobago, well, now I don't know what to tell you b/c I don't know camera prices where you live, sorry

When I went they were actually more expensive in many places. What i did get cheap were rechargable batteries, sd cards (2 gb for $15), and film was really cheap. Any cheap stuff is knock off mostly and didn't funciton very well.
