The best and easiest biscuit recipe I know is to take Pioneer Biscuit Mix. Add milk instead of water. The directions are on the box. (I prefer Pioneer to Bisquick)
You can also add one cup of cheddar cheese to the recipe. It makes great cheesy biscuits. When they come out of the oven brush with a little butter and garlic mixture to make biscuits like Red Lobster.
Quick and easy. Good luck to the kids.

1 cup flour
1 cup milk easy peasy
A fun thing I do with my kids is monkey bread. Its great for snack or breakfast. Take can biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Fill a tupperware or plastic baggie with 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cinnamon. Place pieces in a few at a time and let your kids shake it up ..dance around the kitchen or whatever. Put the biscuits in a cake pan or bundt pan. Bake at 375 for about 10-15 minutes. Melt left over sugar/cinammon mixture with a spoon of butter in microwave, then brush over top. Eat and enjoy!

Try this one.
Baking Powder Biscuits
1-3/4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup margarine
3/4 cup milk
PREHEAT oven to 450°F. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir with fork until soft dough forms.
PLACE on lightly floured surface; knead 20 times or until smooth. Pat or roll lightly until dough is 1/2-inch thick. Cut with floured 2-inch cookie cutter to make 16 biscuits, rerolling dough scraps as necessary. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
BAKE 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Pick up a box of Bisquick, they have a simple and fast recipe on the box. You can also look for the Betty Crocker envelopes of cookies, muffins and corn bread in the baking aisle. Usually you just add butter, oil, an egg or water (depending on what you're making) mix it together and toss it in the oven. Very kid friendly.

Bisquick is really good and really easy. The recipe is right on the box. My mom and I used to make those when I was little. We don't just drop them on the pan. We use a glass to roll them out and to cut with. It works really well.
