A lil less than white tie formal. 10 piece band in tuxedos, the whole bit. I say a little bit less than white tie because it may also be considered very formal black tie as well.

Informal.
The groom and all of the groomsmen wore khaki's, a shirt and a bolo tie.
Because it was an afternoon wedding, most people showed up from work in their work clothes/uniforms (most of the family is in construction so I had guys in Construction stuff there too). The best dressed people at the wedding was my 4 year old cousin who insisted on dressing like a princess for the wedding.
Wouldn't have changed anything.

Are kazoos formal ? I was married back in 1979. Small church wedding...formal floor length wedding gown and veil, tux, walked down the isle, seated guests, flowers abound..." normal " stuff . . . My soon to be husband was nice, keen mind, good sense of humor . . . maybe too much of a sense of humor . . .
It was discovered by the best man that my husband to be had purchased a box full of kazoos and was planning on handing them out to the wedding guests to play while I was walking down the isle. Upon discovering this the best man said..." No way, you can't do this...you can't do this to your bride...Anyway...long story short, the kazoos were put to the side and the best man scampered around to find one who could play the organ. I walked down the isle with the wedding march being played on an 200 yr. old organ. Nice ceremony. I learned of the kazoo intended plans later the next day with my new husband asking me..." You would have been fine with that wouldn't you...I'd thought you'd find that unique and funny". I do have a sense of humor...yet, was SO glad the best man put a stop to that.
We were married 23 yrs, now peacefully divorced 4 yrs...nice man...yet it came to be discovered that he was emotionally out of touch.
It's been many years since then...and I can laugh at the story now.

Informal. It was in a park, by a creek, at sunset, in August, in Georgia. Most people came in bluejeans, some in shorts. The wedding party was dressed up. It was perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything more

Mine were fairly informal. We had a St Patty's Day quickie wedding at a mall chapel (ya, pretty crappy!), then had our big wedding in August. We had it at a science museum, but had the full gown, tuxes, etc. We were more informal in attitude. We had a fun ceremony and reception, glowsticks at the dance, etc.
