It really depend on who it's for. If I know what the person is into I try to get something related to that. But if not, Gift cards are a perfect fit for everyone. I buy alot of candles as gifts tho too.

It all depends on who you are buying for.
Buying for a sports buff? Get them something to do with their favorite sports team, maybe a book or a shirt.
Buying for a geek? Get them some type of program for their computer or something.
Those are just a couple of ideas. Think about the person and their interests before buying for them.

i only buy presents to those that are close to me, but of course there is always a price limit to things. but if its family i dont mind spending bukko bucks on them for that they are family, but if its friends a gift 50 and under is fine. but depending the level of our friendship. if ts like my best friend gifts can range anywhere from 200-300. same as family. but as far as what you buy them you just gotta know what they are in to. like if they like music you can get them a gift card to a music store or just get them a mp3 player. sorry no ipod, im anti-ipod. clothes usually works, shoes, whatever you heart my desire to get them. it is coming from your heart and they will except it reguardless. only if content is not offensive. like getting a girl a dildo is not exceptable

I try to buy people exactly what they say they want.
For the stubborn people who refuse to tell me what they want I usually end up buying them something cool that they could actually use.
