It seems as though you have written the answers to you problems in your question. You recognize the parts of you life which you see as problems. Take another look at your question and work at turning your negatives into positives. Start with the easy ones first. Work on one or two at a time until your list is something that you like. Good luck and God bless.

Put the weed down....weed is a depressant. You are at an age where chemical depression can come in (will also leave)..and smoking weed is not helping your head at all. Music is like therapy for me... so if the music is bringing you down ...find something a little more positive in the same style of music you prefer. You have a job and a loving boyfriend so...how are you preparing for your future?? think about what you want to do so that you can live on your own and then follow through with the actions that will cause these things to happen.
You are in control....no one can fix this for you...so make a change..

Its like hearing my teenage years all over again. First drugs and drinking is self medicating. That doesn't really hit home until your older for some reason. But usually has to do with depression which can be treated with anti-depresents. I still struggle with drugs to be honest. But I'm working in therapy to help that. To gain more friends, I started getting involved in some things. Tried to be more approachable. Things like listening to depressing music just drags you down further, you must relate to it so you like it. But listening to more upbeat music probably would help your mood a little bit.
Mostly what you really need to do is give yourself a swift kick in the a** are you planning on college? Because you should go, don't be lazy about this start planning now and make yourself do it. Alot of things just seem to hard till you put a little effort in to them and realize you can accomplish them.
Another thing do some voulenteer work, it will put you out there in a more healthy environment and help you feel better about yourself cause your helping people. meals on wheels is good if you have a car, I did that for a year. Just give some things a try. You can continue to do badly or you can change it you know. I'm only 24 by the way, but in just the time since I was 16, my mentality has completely changed. And I know it sounds dumb but around that age you got this "teen brain" thing going on. Believe me if you already recognizing the problem, your on your way to changing it. If you'd like email me, we can talk more. :)

You need to turn your life around. I'd speculate that negative peer pressure is having a serious effect on you. Get rid of all the losers in life. Stop listening to Grunge - an experiment on rats showed listening to Anthrax's music makes them dumber, whereas listening to Mozart made them smarter. Smoking weed is not that bad, but save it for after school and after your homework is done. Don't go to school stoned, you won't be able to focus as well and your short term memory can be impaired by it, which is not conducive to learning. Unless you plan on working dead-end job for the rest of your life, you need to go to college, so now is the time to buckle down and do what needs to be done. It is within yoru grasp, don't let it slip away! You have a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a good education and really make something of yourself. Believe that you are worth it, do it for youself and your future happiness.

cut back on the weed, find other activities, and do what you can to improve your grades. If not, don't feel too bad about it. I never got good grades either and that was not from lack of trying. Some peopl are not that good at school and that's nothing to be ashamed of. If you think you can be good at it then more power to you. As to the friends, once you take up other activities you will make some. You will also hang around the stoners less. And don't worry about the parents. If they feel disappointed then that is their bag. Live your life so that you are not disappointed with it. Your parents feelings about your life are not your problem. Live the life you want to live.

Join something like Job Corps-or enlist in reserves,,,,try to find something to do that will pull you out of this,,,,,,,,
(sounds to me like you are really bored)
But-if it is deeper than that, I suggest talking to a therapist of some kind-but I guarantee they will tell you that you need to quit the drinking and drugs, not only are they bad for you, but they are illegal, your not even old enough to drink, - the legal ramifications could be enough to ruin your life forever.
All it takes is one offense,,,,
You see there is something wrong,
you have already observed the situation,
now, evaluate it, and see what you come up with,
react by finding a way to change your situation
into a more positive one.
What can you do to change your situation?
If you are unable to do this on your own-
then perhaps it is something where you may
require more help than
what you can provide yourself with.
It isn't an easy transition, but if it is what you are really
certain needs to be done, you will find a way to make
it happen, and if he is a good boyfriend, he will support
and stand by you every step of the way,,,,
good luck kiddo

First, put the weed down! Its a depressant.
Second, you should be grateful for all that you have. Look at the things that contribute to your depression and realign your priorities.
In the long run--its all about you!
Fulfill your own expectations--be the best you--that you can be.
There is so much life ahead of you--get serious about the change you need and act on it!
There are so many things that you can do.
If you continue to do things as you are doing them, you'll get the same results.

I was in the same place when I was young. I smoked weed, got bad grades, dropped out of high school, drove a wrecked car and moved from place to place because I couldn't keep my rent caught up.
When I was 22 and had 2 children, I decided that this wasn't who I was or who I wanted to be. I realized that I wanted nice things in my life. I realized that I wasn't going to get it unless I started acting like the person I wanted to be.
I went back to school. Went to college for nursing. I graduated as Salutatorian of my Nursing class. I bought a brand new car within weeks of graduation. A year later, I bought a house.
I am 46 now and love where I am in life. I travel. My house is paid off. Life is good.
How do you do it? I just decided where I wanted to be. I decided what I wanted. Then started walking in that direction. Baby steps first. Then bigger steps.

You're the only one who can kick yourself in the A** and you know it , I smoked too, and I stopped cus sometimes even with the best intentions didn t get done what I knew I needed to or be at the places I know I needed to be to get what I wanted.
Now I have a 17 and 15 yr old...your parents, they just wanna be proud of you and as soon as you kick yourself do to something , you'll really be surprised where it can get you. I can't get my sons to do anything for their own good anymore cus only they know what they want and how to do it and atleast you know a bit what you wanna do...go for it!
Also, if you don t want to stop smoking atleast only do it in the evening when everything you had to do is done. After your day. Just an idea. Take care
