Peter was never a pope! He was an apostle. There is no warrant in scripture for Peter being given a title of any kind other than a servant of Christ and a disciple and apostle.

The only way to Heaven doesn't lie in any church whether it is Protestant, Catholic or whatever title it may have. The only way to Heaven is found in John 14:6 where Jesus says, " I am THE way THE truth and THE life; NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME!"

The only true church is the body of Christ and the body of Christ is composed of all who have had their sins cleansed and have received forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, and love and serve Him while living here on earth. The true church is spiritual in nature and doesn't need a building to worship God. It is individuals throughout the world in every nation who love the Lord.

As for the rock Christ was referring to when he told Peter upon this rock I will build my church - he was referring to HImself - not Peter. It is a gross mistake to make the Greek rendering of this verse say anything else.

no. Christ is the way John 14:6 6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. It does not say anything about the different religions or our squabbling over this and that, it is all about Christ.

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.

If you mean "Katholic" as in the Creeds: "KATH" = "according to" "HOLOS" = "the whole" - meaning all the members of the ONE Church (which is indivisible) - then - yes.

If you specifically mean the Communion of Roman Catholics, no - we shall have to disagree, as does the new RCC Catechism.
