For those who are interested I am offering an alternative. I have secured a fair amount of property in The Shire, including about 50 or 60 Hobbit -sized homes. As you can imagine, it's a tranquil and lovely place in which to reside. Life is filled with hedonism. And, of course, I generally put on an evening fireworks display. I still like to dabble in it.

People in the Shire (and all of Middle Earth for that matter) have a lifespan just like we do. But the fun part is that people commonly live well into the 140's to 150's. There is no such thing as old and infirm there. Most residents live their lives to the fullest until their dying day. Along with "first breakfast and second breakfast" it's a fairly attractive package. So, what say you?

Gandalf! It's nice to see you!

Sign me up for a medium-hole. Err, will Aragorn and Legolas be stopping by while we while away eternity? Just wonderin....

(edit) Also Faramir. He can stop by too :)

(Edit) Yes Gandalf, it's really me. But my accounts are nuked every two days so it stopped being fun a while ago :( I'll still pop in to see you guys every few days. With the admins at yahoo and the clones on here...its just not like it used to be. You can always check its me by emailing me at laptopjesus@gmail.com. With all the "security" my friends have to go thru, this isn't fun for them either tho. And I think its time to ride off in the sunset.

But I'll ride off into the shire instead. This heaven idea is nice!

Hedonistic?????????

Well I am not sure about taking residence, but I would truely love to visit and perhaps take my holidays there!

Could you arrange a stay with the Elves? Please!!!!!! In fact a walk about would make for a wonderful journey...no wait...lets ride. I love horses. I am too slow on foot anyway, though I love the detail. Several stop overs, yes several.

Enchanted! There will be several of us coming. Make sure the horses are fresh and their girths well fastined. I will bring apples...

peace.

Are there any oversized hobbit holes? While the idea of 10 meals a day is heavenly not being able to stand upright would be tiresome.

Sounds lovely ... but there's no eternity in the Shire? What happens after 140-150 years? (I'll get back to you.)

I am already hobbit-sized at 4'10" (though I haven't got the hairy feet.)

Can I hang out with that Aragorn guy? He's hot. I'm shallow. :)

(PS as a law student, I will be HOBBIT LAWYER.)

I'd like to live there. I think my husband knows it well enough that he could show me around. Hobbits are so cool. Especially Sam and his family.
