That is not what the Bible teaches...
Rather it says...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
" If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". I Jn.1:9

No one can be good enough to make it to Heaven.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
God knew that we had a debt that we couldn't pay, that's why he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, he gave his only Son, whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.
The only way to get to Heaven, is accept that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, there was nothing we could do to earn it.
All are given the choice to either accept or reject this free gift.

I disagree with mommy... If you have to ask the question you probably are not.
How do you know? You know by faith. Whether it is faith in your own works or faith in some higher power.
How do you get to heaven? My beliefs rest in the Bible.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Who is good?
As it is written, There is none righteous, no,not one.

You know if your going to Heaven if you give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ! He died on the cross for our sins so we could be with Him in Heaven. If it wasn't for that none of us would be in Heaven as we are all sinners. It's only by the grace of God!

Who is chosen to rule with Christ in heaven is entirely God's choice. Romans 9:15-16 says For he says to Moses: “I will have mercy upon whomever I do have mercy, and I will show compassion to whomever I do show compassion.” So, then, it depends, not upon the one wishing nor upon the one running, but upon God, who has mercy. Since the number of those going to heaven is set at 144.00 (Revelation 14;1-5) the majority of Christians will not go to heaven but will enjoy eternal life here on earth. (Psalms 37:10,11; Matthew 5:5; Revelation 21:3)
On the question of what happens to the wicked the Bible tells us those who refuse to repent, the Lord Jesus does indeed “war with them with the long sword of [his] mouth.” (Revelation

Sorry, that's not quite how it works. You don't have to earn your way to heaven. All you have to do is ask God into your heart. If you don't do that (it doesn't even matter if you believe in him) you will surely not go to heaven.

WRONG. John 14:6 says "6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Believe in Christ, repent of your sins, believe He rose again and when you die, you will go to heaven

Anybody who says they know they are going to Heaven is guilty of the sin of presumption.
We determine where we end up through our action and failure to act....but ony GOD know the true state of our soul!
