You quit because you set an unrealistic goal to see results in 6 days. Commit to a month, measure weigh before you start and know that your results will be slower at first and then they will pick up speed.
Do you like cars? Think of yourself as a motor, muscle mass is your engine, and your excess fat and the calories you consume in a day are the fuel. Right now, I don't know so I'll be generous, your engine is a 3 liter engine, as you exercise you'll build muscle and your engine size increases so you consume more fuel (you are getting fewer miles to the gallon) and you burn fat and calories faster and faster. Your results will speed up too.
Start off slow so that you can keep up the commitment, give it 15 to 20 mins 3 to 5 days a week, then add more time or more days, mark it on your calender or somewhere so you have a record of what work you have already done, so that when you think about quitting you'll see that you've done too much work (on your engine) to drop it now and lose your progress. I suggest walking.
Losing weight takes time, it takes a long term commitment.
Think of how much happier and healthier you will be and how much easier it will be to keep up the exercise and go from there.
This is the perfect time and place to invest in yourself! Go for it!

You need to get serious. Six days is not long enough to really see any results. Here's an idea- diet and exercise faithfully for two straight weeks and chances are you will be so happy with the results that it will motivate you to keep going. You have to give yourself a chance to see results before u give up.Let one day a week be your "free" day where you can eat what you want. As long as you don't get carried away with it. If you do have a really bad day and try to eat everything in sight(u will have days like these) just tell yourself that tomorrow will be different. Not next week. TOMORROW.Try to find a workout buddy. You are more likely to go workout when u know someone is waiting on u.Go walking even if you have to go alone. If you have a dog then take it for a walk. It will love you for it and u will be benefiting yourself and the dog.The more weight you lose the more energy u will have and then exercising doesn't feel like such a chore.Cut out an outline of the state that u live in and tape it to the wall. Then walk across that state. For example--if u walked fifteen miles one week then mark fifteen miles on your map and see how long it takes you to walk across your state. Invite a family member or a friend to join in on the fun and make it a competition. Competitions are good motivators. Drink a glass of water before meals to help fill you up.Don't make supper your biggest meal of the day.Make healthy food choices.Consider joining a gym. Just think of how great u will look and how much better u will feel. That is motivation in itself! Good luck. U can do it! It may be hard at times but it will be worth it.

George, I understand your problem. You know, to see any result in an exercise program you have to stick with it for couple of weeks, 6 days might be simply not long enough to see a weight lose.
To keep your motivation level up, why don't you write down all the good things that would happen to you once you have loose weight. Atleast write ten things and refer to them often. It all has to do with keeping your motivation. Once you started noticing even a small weight loss, you would have your momentum going.
Anybody who start exercise should startt it slowly at first then increase the intensity. Refer to personal trainer if possible so he/she would push you to loose weight even if you feel as quitting. This might not be applicable to you, but I have read that you must seek medial advice before commencing an exercise program, if you have certain medical conditions like heart problems, high blood pressure etc.
Another thing you can do is getting a friend to loose weight with you. If you know any person who is overweight and who would like to loose weight, you two can do it together, so each of you keep motivating and supporting the other, and its lot more fun than doing it alone. It can turn in to a positive competition, so as to see who would loose most weight within a week, two weeks etc.
Don't give up efforts. You are still a teenager. You have lot of energy to spare in exercises, so if you keep up with it, I am sure you'd loose weight soon enough.
Sometimes when you just start the exercises, you don't loose much weight right away, coz your fat metabolism is a little bit slow in the beginning. But exercise boost up your fat motabolism, and after some time you notice that you loose weight relatively easily.
Please cut down your fat and sugar intake. It is vital. Untill I startt reading the calory tables of food packagings I didn't realize how many unneceesary calories I have loading my self with, and how much effort is needed to burn them.
I have this exercise bike at home, it indicated the amount of calories I burn, while I am riding it. Burning 100 calories is a pretty hard- and its just one chocolate biscuit. See...
Shift to healthy snacks like fruits and nuts.
If you think you have to reduce your portion size , one strategy I can suggest is that, have a bowl of plain vegetable soup( it should not be very starchy or fatty), or a low calory salad before meal. So you get full and you can't eat much of the other stuff. Alternatively you can choose to drink a glass of water before meal.
Eat plenty of vegetables, lean meat, fish, Don't cut out any nutrition. Just cut out too much fat, too much carbs including sugar.
Research in the internet and you might find many interesting meal plans and low fat recipees.
Good Luck. I am sure you can do this.

That's just it, you're not motivated, and you're taking a negative view on it when you do exercise. Sometimes the best motivation comes from yourself. Personally (not being thin myself) when I exercise I don't see results right away, but I look forward to that 6 month mark when I jump the scale and realize I've just dropped alot of poundage. But for some the best motivation is having a friend to exercise with you, for that extra encouragement. Try thinking positive about it, and see if you can get a friend to join in.

ill tell you what dude, the reason you keep at it for only 6 days at a time is because like you sait you dont see ant resulst. you wont see any for a while. trust me.i just got out of the army last year, and didnt excersize.untill jan of this year. i got out a year ago. i run every other day(at first it was barely a mile, but now im up to 3) and lifting weights. but i too see very little improvement. trust me it takes time. it also has a lot to do with diet. i eat very few carbs, if i do just one serving. but i eat a ton of fruit.
another thing your doing, is with your work out schedual, dont be so hellbent on following it to a "t" you have to be flexible. also dont just stay fixated on running on a track or tread mill. try running through the woods, or creeks. i like this better because you see something different every time. and when you do lose intrest, dont worry, just work out the next day.
when i was embarrased about running, i would do it late at night so nobody would see me.

Go online and find the nearest weight watchers. Join. Follow the plan.
You have to decide if you want to be fat and unhealthy, or not fat, and healthy.
Once you make up your mind to succeed, you'll do fine.
You can't expect to see results in a week -- it takes 4-6 weeks for an work-out program to show up. Remember, you didn't get to be 295 lbs in one week!
Go to weight watchers! And good luck.

Aww don't be so hard on yourself. I too used to be obese. I too had no motivation. I realized though that i wasn't happy. I know it is hard to diet. You shouldn't starve yourself or diet drastically because what happens is your metabolism slows down. when it slows down your mind can't stop thinking about food. then after a while you eat and eat and eat more than usual. See our bodies are designed to store food (aka fat) thanks to our old old old ancestors who used to starve, so our bodies learned how to store food. what you can do is slowly week by week cut down on your calories. it takes TIME, i know that it sucks but that is life. i found this website on google and it calculated how much calorie intake you should have. the website is:
http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
but i already entered the info you provided so if you want to keep your weight now you need to eat 2911 calories a day. if you want to lose weight you should eat 2360 a day. you should try to eat fruits and veggies. celery is negative 2 calories so every time you eat a serving of celery you lose two calories. that may not seem like a lot but it is better than nothing. you don't have to exercise but if you want full results you should try to find fun ways to exercise. it is ok if you go to the gym. I used to be embarrased to go to the gym but no one there cares. but again you don't have to if you don't want to. IT TAKES TIME!!!!! DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! plus it is like impossible to lose a drastic amount of weight in one week. i lost 15 pounds in one week but that was only becuse i was sick and had sores in my mouth and all i ate was oatmeal and soup and a small portion of it. well GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! U CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

You can do it George. You just have to think about your future and how you see yourself later in life, do you want to stay the way you are or do you want something else? If you believe in yourself who cares about anyone else. I will believe in you George. Do it! Be strong and stay strict with yourself, I would hate to see your young life be cheated because you are so embarrassed by your looks Go Go Go! I will be thinking of you in my daily thoughts. good luck with everything throw out bad foods and tell yourself You are worth the effort!
