Yes, atoms are made from protons and neutrons (and electrons), which are in turn made of quarks.

The atom has to be made of something right?

Yes; protons, neutrons, electrons, quarks, gluons, and the theoretical open-strings.

"well then what's smaller than string theory molecules and protons etc.? eh?"

Protons and neutrons are made of quarks; three quarks each to be exact.

Strings, open or closed, are the theoretical smallest particle there is. They are 1-dimensional fragments of dimensional branes.

But this is R&S. Go read a Hawkings book, or ask this in physics.

There's neutrons and electrons and protons that are all smaller than an atom, then there's quarks, although I don't know too much about them, but I believe they are smaller again.

The smallest thing that's known to man's a sub-atomic particle. Measured scientifically, under lab conditions to be 10 centimeters taken to the -13th power.

ya ya....I agree with ya all....but what if you keep pulling it apart. After time, you would end up with nothing.
So if all the things were put together by the beginning of a "nothing," then would that mean the next time your riding down the road and end up slamming into the hydro post....

just wipe the blood and say...."oh well....thats nothing"

Yes. They have broken it down into several smaller particles.
