are there any other ways to replenish bacteria other than eating yogurt; that stuff is really disgusting

You can buy the culture Bulgaricus, in a bottle at the health food store. Other bacteria is not as good as this one. If you buy yogurt without this one, and at least 5 other ones such as acidophiles it does not have the correct culture. This B. culture is the closest one to the one our intestines come naturally with. You can also culture kefir with the "seeds" by keeping them overnight in warm milk.

Bacteria grow so fast that your body will naturally replenish its flora. Almost everything you eat has bacteria in it , fruits, veggies, bread, cheese, milk, etc...
