Folks:
I have a Mac G5 running which originally had OSX PANTHER and somehow had the chance of playing AVI video files by having installed some drivers, but when I upgraded it to OSX TIGER (10.4.9) I lost this config.
Now, I can't get to play any AVI's even when I have already installed DivX. Don't really know what to do cuz most video files I get from TV shows and Movies come in AVI. Oh, also I haven't found any decent AVI converter.
Can help?
Desperately.

Download VLC Media Player. Best player for multiple formats for the Mac.

Hello lakokotxa,

You can get Flip4Mac Windows Media Player for the Macintosh from Microsoft's Mactopia site:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=windowsmedia

... but I've heard that VLC is best.
