Chemically or with an iron? If you are using an iron, just make sure you are using something to protect it from the heat and keep it moisturized. I love Redken heat glide. The Smooth Down line is Fantastic!

It does damage your hair but if you use a good straightening serum, then it helps. Also, dont do it every day. Wash your hair, straighten it, and leave it for a 2-3 days, then go through the process again.

It's not if you use the right protectants and make sure you have a good flat iron. The CHI works really well on my thick, wavy hair, and I don't get split ends.

in my opinion ceramic straighteners are good.
thats what i use.
but if you are afraid that your hair will get fried then let your hair air dry then straighten.

all heat is bad for your hair but it wont do too much damage if you dont do it all the time
