if you do enough of either of those you will definately loose weight
but out of the two of them I would say swimming

They are both great for weight loss, but you can probably run longer than you can swim continuously. When you run, do alot of walking too, as there is no impact this way and you can break into it gently. Be sure to have good running shoes too. Why not do both?
Swimming gets your heart rate up and you will use every muscle in your body with this too and again, no impact.

running is better 30 to 45 minutes a day,swimming is also good for upper body just do both

Swimming is actually one of the best exercises you could do. Running is good cardio and will work out your legs, but swimming works out pretty much all of your muscles and is also good cardio.

At a restaurant split your meal and eat only half meal and take the rest home if the quality is more

well you can swim in the summer and take walks in spring because i have no idea actually they both do the same i think
