I just finished The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs and found it very interesting. It is an apocryphal work from pre-200 CE.

Had to read them in Seminary to discover for ourselves why the Church said they were worth less than the papyrus they were written on.

wehn the bible was written there was no BIble so i think the Chroatians especially those that heard Jesus spoke lived with what they heard and what other heard.
