Someone told me that you are able to take a high school speech class that is required to graduate at home. Like an internet class kind of thing, I believe...
Anyway I don't know how this could possibly work.
Does anyone have any info about it?
All information is welcome. THx

Several of the online course providers are now using Elluminate. Elluminate is a web conferencing service/software that has all the tools needed to make for a good online classroom. As far as the tools that relate to a speech class, it has webcam capabilities, full duplex audio, and means to bring in Powerpoint, OPen Office Impress, or Elluminate whiteboard file visuals.

I have used Elluminate (the 10 seater Lite Office version) to teach homeschool classes over the last year. It is really neat. You can sign up for a free 3 seater version called a Vroom if you are curious. Just sign up and send the participant link or invite them from your log in screen and take the tools for a spin. link - http://www.elluminate.com/vroom/

Other tools that are built in are: file sharing, application sharing, webpush, you can play movie files, text chat, there are indicators to give the moderator/teacher feedback as to how the student is doing and if their connection is having any lag.

You can see some recorded Elluminate sessions listed at https://www.elluminate.com/site/external/event/playback.

I hope this helps.

ok, that first answer is very interesting.
Technology is great!
On the less techy side, some do it the old fashioned way and have you record your speeches and mail them in. I've looked at that. You had to record in front of an audience,( the tape had to pan the audience once) and so on.
Not nearly as excited as a web conference, but you know, still do-able.
