I'm 17, and I only weigh 123 pounds. Is this bad? I've tried to gain weight but I can't. I sat on my butt for the last few years after quitting sports and I havent gained any weight since then. My brother who is three years younger than me weighs the same! Is this a problem?

At 17, your at a pretty good weight I think. Sounds like you have a high metablism and that's good. I won't try to gain any more weight then that if I were you. Sounds like your at a good weight for your age.

My friend it is all relative. Depending on your build and your health history you could be perfectly fine. But check with your doctor, or ask your school nurse. Calculate your Body Mass Index, (many places online to find this) to get a good idea of what healthy would be for you. It can give you a good idea.

Best answer in this case, talk to a doctor.
