That's hard, I think we all struggle with that at times. Maybe if you pray and ask Him to give you motivation, and possibly push yourself, once you get started you won't want to stop spending time with Him. It will get to the point that you'll be looking forward to your time together. I'll be praying for you. good luck =)

Through God you can separate yourself from the funk , you are being tempted by the Internet and video games, but God does not allow Satan to tempt you more than you can withstand, walk over and start reading scripture, read with understanding, and pray for God's help, pray for understanding, pray for God to open your eyes and heart when you read His word. the funk you are in is a calling back to the world, and it sounds as if your heart misses things of the world, you always have 2 minutes to read before you go on-line to play your games, try it you might find that the reading time increases especially if you prepare yourself for scripture study by praying about it first.

Spiritual burn out. Motivator? Seek truth rather than the "norm" of all that is written. You may find that not even some of the most educated scholars of religion, have the wisdom of the Lord in heaven. Many of them, whether they'd admit it to themselves or not, do it for the MONEY. DON'T persecute yourself over "finding" you're not as perfect as you'd like to be. NO ONE "is." Find quite time alone by yourself where you can and simply set aside 10 to 15 minutes a day to commune with just you and God. I go to sleep around 2 am and get up around 4-5 am and "commune" with God. During the day is too much going on, and find I don't have the time. My grandfather used to say, a drop in the bucket is better than none and it accumilates. What we do may seem small to us, but over time what we do amount to something....

I know how you feel...and that is Satan trying to keep you away. What you need to do is pray in spite of how distant you feel read the Bible even if you are being tempted by the Devil not to...no matter how far you stray from God you can always go back

You should feel blessed to hear the call of God. Hearken unto his call and you shall not be disappointed. Trust me you could make better use of your time serving God, spreading His word, and helping those in need than play games on the internet. You can save that for sometime on Saturday (that is after you served God).

If you "feel distant and stuck," then it is probably something that you do (other than play videogames, bein on internet, etc.) that you dont like about your life. I suggest that if you want to pray, and read the bible, then you might want to enjoy it rather than force yourself to do it. Otherwise, you will only be forcing yourself further away from where you want to be. (I hope I worded this about right)

As with any relationship, the relationship with God takes hard work. It is like going to the gym because you know is good for you, but you dont want to, because you are tired or lazy... You just have to stop doing what you are doing, stand up and reconect with Him (through prayer or whatever you like best).
I think I am going to take my own advice...

you should know that God loves you and if you love Him, you will want to get close to Him. Reading, praying and worshipping gets ypu close to him. know that the worls is coming to an end and Rupture is near so beware of how you use your time becasue these last days are dangerous.

the best way to be good is to be around good people, hang around or talk to people who are really spirtual, they will get you really into it.. find friends, teachers, ect..... that are very into spirtuality. dont beat urself up about being so distant, a lot of people don't even realize they are so far from God, and u do, that's a really good start!

I don't know what makes you think God is talking to you, but if you really wanted to spend time with God, you would. That you aren't is a sign that you're not really interested in God.
