He was the perfect Spokesman on behalf of God.
He perfectly represented God in every thought, word and deed. He was "the Prophet" of whom Moses spoke (Deuteronomy 18:15-19; Acts 3:22,23)

Christ executes the office of a Prophet, in revealing to us, by his word and Spirit, the will of God for our salvation.

i does not have self belief (if I have been a christian) that Christ would desire to execute the place of work of a prophet. A prophet is individual who speaks for God. Christ exchange into (in accordance to Christianity) God. The execution of the place of work of prophet as a effect could be "God speaking for God". one would desire to argue that the admonitions and statements, callling for have confidence in God, and perception in the character of Christ have been prophetic. the call to repentance and faith, and so on. those are in a feeling prophetic "words", yet no longer spoken via an middleman for God.

"Execute" could have different meanings. He was a prophet because He testified of Himself and His mission. (By definition a prophet is one who testifies of Christ as a witness that He lives. And witness, in the case of prophets, means eye witness).
He appoints men on earth to be Prophets by helping those who are chosen increase their faith enough so that they can see Him and receive authority from Him to lead His church.
