I'm on a 5 by 5 program to increase my bench press. How much rest should I take between sets and is this the same amount of rest that works for all muscles using the 5 by 5 routine

Ok...I weigh 199. My 1 rep max is probably 240 lbs. I regularly do a set of 10 at about 175 lbs. (I know I'm weak:-()

By 5 by 5, I'm going to guess you're doing 5 sets of 5 reps. I would say rest a good 30 seconds to a minute between sets. Also, do no more then 70-85% of your max for a set of 5. This should work for all muscles with 5 sets of 5 reps as well.
