Did you really just ask that question? Do you think hair knows if it is residing on a male or female? Split ends are caused by daily wear and tear when you brush. Generally if you keep your hair short, I mean short...split ends are not a problem as you do not have to rake a comb or brush from the root to the end of the hair shaft, thus causing stress and ultimately splitting the end.

Trichoptilosis is the "splitting of hairs at the ends," according to Dorland's Pocket Medical Dictionary, 21st edition, 1968. Often referred to as "split ends." Comes from the Greek root "tricho" meaning hair and "ptilosis" meaning "falling out of the eyelashes." Also called "schizotrichia."
Trichoptilosis is caused by hair damage that happens with excessive backbrushing or colouring and perming. The only way to repair split ends would be to trim your hair.

yes n e one could have splits...what causes split ends is brushin ur hair w/ a brisle brush while its still wet n also not usin a wide tooth comb to detangle ur hair while its still wet also regular trims every 3-6 months is good to maintain the split ends n also breakage which is also good

Of couse!! EVERY1 who has long hair was split ends Only if the have long hair if u dont want them u might want 2 cut them cut if u have them

y not??? men and women are both humans and have the same basic hair . . . so yes they can have split ends.
you normally don't see many guys with them cuz they get here hair cut so often.

yes, depending how long their here is. and well you take care of it. if you trim your hair every three months than no you would'nt have split ends.
