WHY is it so freakin hard to get over someone?!?

Yeah I know what your going through. I myself am trying to get over my recent ex boyfriend and it's been over a month. It is hard but in time you and I both will get over them. I loved him and I was with him for almost 4 years which is a long time but still no matter if it's long or short it's hard if you loved and cared about that person but in time you'll find it gets easier as time goes a long. Remeber that you and him were't meant to be and there's something else down the road.

Yep...this is because when you decide to get involved with someone, your heart, emotions and psyche are deeply interwoven into into developing a relationship with this person.

Which is quite an investment of your spiritual, mental and emotional energies and your time! :)

An investment that is not easily shaken when things don't work out.

Don't worry, with time, you'll get over this person...try to concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other and slowly moving on with your life as a single person.

Try not to be in touch with this person during this period of time...you'll want to keep your distance, so that you both can heal.

Try to figure out what went wrong and correct your thought processes and actions, so as to avoid this mistake in future relationships.

Go out with friends, relatives and also give to your community, via volunteering...the more you give, the more you'll realize what you do have and the faster you'll heal.

It's a proven remedy for heartbreak.

Over time you will think about them less and less, but if you truly loved someone, you'll never really forget them. It's painful, but love is a great thing, even if it doesn't come back to you from that person, it will come back to you another way at another time. Don't regret love, it's what really matters in life.

When you love someone so much it hurts it makes it real hard to forget the times you have shared with each other. Just don't make yourself miserable by wrapping all your time thinking about this someone, as time goes by it should get easier new thing and ppl will occupy your brain.

it does suck!! im going through the same time i have been told to get together with all my friends and family and that in time i will soon get over him , we broke up and got backtogether after 8 months and now after6 months are apart again only this time it sems easier i gave it another chance and things did not work out..dont be so hard on your self there will be a day when you will be ready to move on ..i promise!

i no it is hard to get over some one that was or is special to u and/or that u love i personally no what it feels like going through that but one day u will wake up one morning and u will realize that u haven't thought about that person as much then when u least expect it u will forget about that person!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s try not to think about that person a lot and if u do then tell your self the worst things about that person to try to forget about him sooner

you know what? ive noticed this too, but a way to get over them that ive noticed helps me, is just start paying attention to some one else even if you dont like them. it's not bad but sometimes it takes a while, remember watch the other person... i hope ive kinda helped, i had to do this just recently, i was going out w/ some one ive very sadly liked for almost 2 yrs. and then i got him?!? nope... i was going out w/ him but he was doing it to be nice and i think that was wrong! so i started going out w/ this other guy i noticed i was starting to be intrested in

Yeah, that happened to me. I've got over him over 5 months. But, what I do, is find somebody new.
