Jesus was not a pacifist. He was proactive. He told people the way it was and they did not like it one bit. He died on the cross because of this. Others throughout history were killed for the same reason. Even today when we try to spread the word of Christ people do not like it. In some countries it is illegal to spread the word and you are killed for it.

Jesus is the pacifist, not necessarily His followers. His followers are at fault for their sins, not Jesus. When these failed followers die it is God who will judge them so, in essence, "They'll get theirs." Keep in mind that bad news gets lots of media attention. You almost never hear about the Christians who do live by His word. Think of the saints and remember Mother Theresa and her works. The majority of Christians who have the wisdom to worship God through truth and not blind faith are good people that no one ever hears about.

You are incorrect when you say to turn the other cheek means to be a coward. When someone physically strikes you or perpetrates an act of agression, then you must stop them from causing further harm, restrain them by any means necessary.
And what you term religious conflict is not religious at all.
It is easy to label things and believe the labels politicians choose to assign but if you refer to the current war against terror, it is that and not war against religion.

It is because human understands these philosophies differently and each of them thinks they already mastered it. They act for their own good ignoring that the truth has not yet discovered. Conflicts, therefore, are inevitable

Because the people who do it are unholy and hypocritical. Murder pretty much goes against all religions, and I think if you kill, for whatever reason, you're going downstairs for a long hot soak.

We are imperfect and tend towards Sin. If someone is killing in Jesus name run from them they are not honest.

all this religious conflict is because the people who called themselves "Christians" were not so...they were not true Christains, if they were they wouldn't hate another person, but they would dislike his false religion
