This girl I like just told me she also likes me today, and we are going to a movie next week. (we are both in high school) We are not technically bf and gf right now, but I think we will really soon. Is it appropriate to hold hands on our first date? Or should I just wait for the right moment to come? Also do I have to pay for everything? It might be gentleman-like but I don't want her to be a golddigger.

we are both in high school

see that phrase right there? I wouldn't worry about golddiggin just yet ...

let things take their course...she will lead in this...if you try to hold her hand an d she pulls away..take that non verbal cue...she WILL give them..if she gives you the hand..THAT is not an invite to kiss her...that is another verbal cue to wait for...

yeah you are going to need to pay for this...but don't look at it as a golddigging situation...if YOU like her..then that isn't the situation at all..you do it BECAUSE you like her...

you go dutch if you are both just friends and that was the agreement before hand..

kissing on the first date has to be good timing..and it depends on the context of the evening...anything more than that...is probably going too fast too soon...especially at your age..

i think its ok to hold her hand. If you like her it'll give her the hint. If she pulls away then just sit back but if you see she that after she pulled back she tries to get close to you then try holding her hand again. As for paying idk what your guys' situations are but if you invited her then pay for her this time and if you both rely on you parents for money then maybe you guys should pay for you're own tickets after the first date if you go out more often...unless she's your gf then you'l have to work something more complex...it would be nice for the guy to pay but its not fair all the time since you might just dedicate your time to school.
