They get upset because sometimes people dont want to except the truth. So they get mad when you tell them that and know that they are but dont want to hear it.Or they may think thats kind of rude.

Is that all you care about? Whether they're fat or thin? When people use the word "fat," it implies that the fat person has less human value, simply because he's fat. That word has negative connotations, which is obvious to most people who speak English. Personally, I don't believe that you're concerned about how they feel. Your question is stupid. If I were to call you a stupid person, wouldn't you get mad? It's the same concept.
The word fat has negative connotations. When you use the word, you're purposely making a negative statement about the person. That's why the word fat is similar to the word stupid. Did you really not get that? Aren't you even able to think things through that much?
A few of my loved ones are fat. You must not be friends with any fat people. I feel blessed to have them in my life. But then I don't care so much whether a person is fat. I think there's more important things in life, and more to being a worthwhile person. Furthermore, it's next to impossible to believe that you give a rat's tail about offending anyone. So stop pretenting by saying you're sorry.

We all have our flaws in this life. Crudely pointing them out is just uncouth. Also concerning "fat" people, many of them struggle hard with their weight. I know overweight people who've tried every diet on the books and it just doesn't show results. On the other hand I know people who can eat like a hog and and not gain a pound. I know a man who struggles trying to keep his weight up and said he actually envies "beefy" guys. So if just give "fat" people a break.

Is it your job to tell people what they already know. And who the hell are you to talk? I may be fat, but you are stupid and ugly, I can diet, but you will always be stupid and ugly. You need to get some class . Did you ever stop to think they might have a medical condition? Or do you care?

Stating a fact is one thing, being mean is something else. Just remember that whatever you say, it's going to come back on you. Only put out into the universe what you want coming back to you.

It's probably something that makes them feel worse about themselves, like if I were to tell you " you are ugly", it wouldn't hurt you, but if every other person told you everyday, you would feel that there is nothing you can do about it. Yes they can lose weight, just like you can have a better attitude, but they need encouragement, not insults.

So do you go around telling people who you don't like the way they look, that they're ugly? Or tell short people they're short? Your question shows a serious need to grow up, and stop being needlessly rude to others. MYOB.

They know they're fat.
They don't need you to tell them so.
They get mad when you call them fat for the same reason you'd get mad if they called you stupid.

That's just a little insensitive. I'm sure you don't like it when people tell you you're something that hurts your feelings whether you can help it or not. Hasn't someone ever called you annoying or an asshole or something - but hey, if you didn't like it, you could just change your attitude, right?

If you are ugly, do you want to be called ugly?
P.S. no, I am not fat... but for those who are, they can lose weight... ugly is ugly whether on the inside or out.
