i've had my dreads for a long time as well.... yeah at a certain time it will seem like they stop growing cuz they are really growing in knots by now so your hair is growing normally but just cuz of the dreads it will look like they grow really slow...

Whatever you do, DO NOT use knotty boy or dreadheadhq products for two reasons. 1: created by white people who don't know anything about the care of locks, and 2: causes nothing but buildup. Use Nubian Heritage Raw Shea Butter Loc Balm. I use that faithfully, and it has a strong, but not too heavy hold. Also, use New Bein products. They are 100% natural. But,the key to healthy hair growth is a healthy diet.

This could be because if you have put for example different colourd dreads in, and platted then into your hair, your hair is going to grow them out eventually so all you could do is maybe un-plat them out and re-plat them, if that makes sence? =]
