Have you ever heard the song "The Orange and the Green" by the Irish Rovers? This is the exact same problem that you are in. I suggest that you listen to that song to get an idea of what you have been born into here.

Since they have recently made some serious moves toward peace, it means less and less every day. You say you are part Irish, I can only assume that means you are an American of Irish heritage. In that case, it doesn't mean anything.

If your parents were married in the Church, your mother promised to have you baptized and brought up Catholic. You are supposed to be Catholic.

It means you can chose to be anything you want. Just because you are born into a certain religion,or two,doesn't mean anything. Chose the right one for you and be the best you can be.
