it is kind of hard to pin point any specific food that will drastically help you reduce weight. What I recommend though is that you examine closely your current diet. Then you make adjustments. I know for a fact though that the best diet in loosing and maintaining weight is a fruit diet. A diet that is made up of strictly fruits, vegetables and grains to substitute your protein. It is not so much about any fixed food. Weight loss remedies that work for your friend might not work for you. It is basically about been disciplined and true to yourself. There is no magic food, unfortunately, but one thing you can do is take out all sodas and drinks with calories. People often don't "think" about the calories in the drinks, and only in the food, but if you drink sodas and juices and coffee all day long it's going to add a lot of calories. Try replacing all your drinks with water (lots of it), and you will be taking in a lot less calories (assuming you drink soda, juice, coffee, etc, like *most* people). Drinking milk is fine, but try to get in dairy in other ways too, and drink fat free milk. Tea is fine, just resist the temptation to add anything to it.

Eat an apple as you climb out of bed then half an hour before meals drink a large glass of water with raw cucumber in it good luck

If you read the labels of foods, than they have the calories and fats on them. a person should only eat 2000 calories a day, 4 transfats and 11 other fats. eat lots of veggies and fruits, and drink water.
