The past couple of weeks, I've noticed that I hold my breath for no reason. I don't even realize I'm doing it, and it happens everywhere--in line at the store, reading, typing on the computer. I must start up again, because I never feel light headed, but if I stop to think about it, I'm holding my breath. Is this some sort of medical condition? Anyone else have this problem?

A lot of people do it when they are in deep thought. It is natural and you body tells you that you are not breathing and to take a breath. That is why you noticed it.

its normal when you are feeling axious, don't worry all you have to do is realise when you are doing it and think about what is making you hold your breath are you afraid, are you worried about something, are you worried about stuff at home or school or with teachers, it could be axiety but you can control it by remembering to breath through it and doing that until you feel caulm. If it gets overwhelming tell the family dr. and try to understand why you are feeling this way and try to control it, if you have trouble the family dr. will tell you how to relax or give you an anxiety medication. It does pass and we can control it so don't worry so much its normal ok, Take care Heather
