Does anyone know how to dry papaya??

I reallly like dried papaya. What is the process of doing so? I'm guessing the papaya is cooked lightly in corn syrup first, then dried. Is that right??

i would throw it in the oven for a while at about 450 until it is dry

I think you're right. The dried papaya I've bought is very sweet.
