It's sad and hard to give her up. But if you feel like you want to talk to her, IM, email, or(The better choice) talk to her on the phone and make it feel like she's there with you. Just go on with a normal conversation. But try to make other friends too. I know you can't replace your bestest friend, but just try to make other friends... I don't know if this helped AT ALL but I hope it did SOMETHING...

I moved 7 hours away from my best friend in 5th grade. It was very difficult for both of us. Some of my relatives still lived in my old hometown, so my family and I went up to visit every once in a while and I would see her. We wrote letters to each other at least once a week to stay close! The letters were very comforting and they're nice to keep - you can look back on them and remember your friendship. After a few years, when we would go to visit my old hometown I began to notice that my best friend and I had changed and we were growing apart - we had spent so much time away from each other and had made a lot of new friends. We still keep in touch every once in a while (it's been 9 years now), but I don't see her any more. Even if you and your friend end up growing apart, you'll always have the memory of her and the wonderful friendship that you two shared!
I suppose my advice is - write letters back and forth. It's an interesting new way to communicate with a friend and you won't miss her as much.

hey, don't get over her! stay in contact with her. Make sure you both have e-mail addresses and something like Hotmail. Then during the summer vacation, one of you spend like a month or at the others house. Write letters and stuff to eachother. Don't lose contact if you guys are that close of friends.
Strong friendships never end

2 of my best friends have moved really far away, too, and the best way to get over it is to just keep in touch with them. i email my long-distance friends every day and it's almost as if they're still here. also, you can arrange times when you can go on a vacation together or just meet up with each other. i guarantee this will help you get over it or at least be satisfied with it.

no one can tell you how to get over it, but the 2 of you can always still stay in touch & of course i know that its not exactly the same but atleast you can still be a part of eachothers lives & soon begin visiting & things like that, you r definetly gonna miss her & vice versa but out of sight never has to mean out of mind, so cheer up b/c its just as hard on her as it is on you so be there for eachother & everything will be okay...

lol. trust me a best friend can sometimes be the most dangerous. lol I said that because I thought it can cheer you up, & also because I think it's true. A person's best friend is either a dog or yourself. She might mean a lot to you, but she's gone now & there's nothing you can do & the fact that she's the closest one isn't gonna make your life fulfilled.

I know how you feel. My bestfriend moved back to the U.S. There are times when it's difficult and times when you dont remember. But, you can keep calling her. Visit her, send her stuff...

NOO!! Dont try and get over your best friend! you should still talk to her, I mean she will always be your best friend but you will find new friends, not saying that those friends with replace her but you should still stay in contact with her.
