Prisoners seem to have more human rights than most people because they have several hundred organisations wanting to represent them in court as prisoners get almost unlimited legal aid being under state control the state having plenty of money for the legal bods to exploit. No matter whether they win or lose the case its a win win situation for the lawyers. The more cases they bring forward, however absurd, the merrier for them.
Normal people cannot afford to fight for their human rights in this way.

If you're talking about the ban on 3-way conversations, there is no slander in that. The phone system in prisons is big business. Companies fight each other to get the contracts and there is always a kick back.

In my humble opinion I think that it is unlikely that they will be phoning someone who either doesn't know they are in prison, or to whom that fact shouldn't be disclosed.

I think they should have to have the message played, if they dislike it that much maybe they can choose not to commit any more crime thus preventing their return to prison.
