What are muslims to do, when people say that they arn't condeming or saying anything to stop the muslims that are making Islam look bad. There really isn't anything to do. When normal americans see something like Darfur they think and fell like they should help to make a difference, but in reality there isnt much they can do, so they go back to there normal lives knowing people are being killed in Darfur. Its the same with muslims. how do muslims stop the terrorists. its not like the terrorists who are focused on their goals are going to listen to muslims.

many people do bad things in the name of religion...... like .... jimmy Jones who had his followers to drink poison and committed mass suicide and David coresh but they were labeled cults.... OK cults but where did they get their teachings from? they got them from the Holy Bible and twisted the teaching to satisfy their evil mind. same in any religion not only Islam. People need to educate themselves

you have a very valid point. It is hard, alomst impossible to control what people do. I do not blame muslims for what terrorists do because if some extremist christians went to an islamic country and started killing people, i would not appreciate people blaming me for thier actions. I think that when americans say that about muslims, what they are asking for is for muslims and the muslim community to say we do not support what these terrorists did. I know alot of muslims have done that and that is really what non-muslims would like to hear.

The multi-cultural Muslims are unfairly put into one basket. The actions of the few misguided "muslims" in the arab world is being slap into the faces of more than 1 billion muslims of the world of whom 82% are non-arabs. Notwithstanding, we have the duty to condemn every terrorist actions done in the name of islam. Islam means peace and those who truly understand its teaching are like torch bringing light into the midst of darkness. Unfortunately some things are beyond our control. We can not do the policing of each and every muslim in this world. There are bad apples among us but the clear majority are peaceful people. Christians do not associate the actions of their fellow christians as representative of christianity.Take for example the massacre of the jews (supported by majority catholic germans), or of the muslim bosnians (by the christian serbs), both are carried out by the christians regardless of their motives. But no christians of today are being asked to continously apologize to those crimes. So why will you be affected? The best thing you can do is to be the best muslim example of honesty, hardwork, serenity, just and fairplay. Go out ! Volunteer to the nearest social organization in your community. Serve your country and your society. As a muslim you are the best of people according to the qur'an, so why would you disappoint God by not heeding his praises of you? Remember the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was very kind to everyone: to the Jews, Christians, and even to those who persecuted him. If you start doing good and every one of us will...Insha 'Allah no one will ask you to apologize to the actions of our misguided few.

First of all, calling someone a 'f-gg-t' is as derogatory as insulting Muslims.

Secondly, you make a good point as far as the actual question. Christians are not blamed for David Koresh, who misinterpreted Christian teachings and caused horror in the world. Similarly, Muslims should not be blamed for the terrorist attack, carried out by a handful of rich Arab kids who misinterpreted Islamic teachings and caused horror in the world.
