uh i don't like herbal essences for anyone's hair. it dosen't have good or natural ingrediants especially for african american hair, which needs a lot of moisture. try biolage ultra hydrating shampoo and balm or any salon quality product designed to moisturize hair. this is what i use on my dry frizzy, course hair and it leaves very soft and shiny! good luck

Of course!! Why couldn't they use Herbal Essences!! I know that their hair is usually more coarse and thicker than white people's hair, but it still cleans. The bottle doesn't say "Not for African American use" I mean really.

I'm mixed (black, white, native) and Herbal Essences mostly dried out my hair. The new one for hydration is okay, but my hair needs something heavier. It does smell delish though. I wish they'd make a line for "ethnic" hair types.
