Just say Thank you! and tell them not to believe the polls they may hear from the media and that Most people support them and those that don't support the troops are stupid and are lucky to have the right to spout off dumb comments because of the freedom that you, the troops give us so Thank you

My hubby is over there now, send me a email if you want his address.
He likes to hear how life is going for you. He loves when I cut out odd news stories from the paper.
You can also contact a local USO and see if they have any adopt a troop program. Many major airports have a USO rest area and also many local VFW's run a program.

Look up Operation Shoebox for starters.
Tell them whatever you're feeling at the time. If you're proud of them, say so. They need to hear positive stuff from other Americans and I don't think they're too particular about what's said as long as it's good.
How does this Liberal Democrat know where to send letters? Because I've sent about 20 of them now.
About 20 more than the conservative Republican "supporters" of the war.

I am an Army Wife and I ran an adopt a soldier program when my husband was deployed. I know of a couple units that are deployed right now and I could find someone for you to write to who wouldn't otherwise have anyone writing to them..Shoot me an email if you are interested..

"I want to write a letter to the troops...?"
Which ones? The ones playing video games mindlessly, or the ones dying?

There's a web site called: " amillionthanks.org" that gives you all kind of information on supporting our troops, including where and how to mail letters.
You can say whatever is in your heart. Start by thanking them for fighting for us, tell them that we are praying for their safe return and anything else you may wish to say.
Good luck!! And please, do it!!!
