It's unhealthy and they should serve more better drinks

OMG don't get me started lol. I'm a Junior in High school. And I stopped eating school lunches when I was in 5th grade. I think that the School board needs to make healthier food choices for everyday of the week. Pizza every Thursday? Come on, that's not being healthy at all. And sometimes, some school cafeteria's aren't being clean like they should be. Who knows what could be crawling during the night or whatever. Everyday when I come home from school, I make my lunch. I take a salad with me, a cup of yogurt and a bottle of water in a Lunch Cooler that I have in my car. Or sometimes, I'll take a Turkey or Tuna Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread, Carrot Sticks and a Bottle of Water with me. I'll keep it in ice in my lunch cooler that way it will stay fresh and not soggy or anything. Then once the lunch bell rings, a couple of my friends and I will sit in my car and eat and talk. They bring their own lunches as well. I don't approve of how kids are being fed these days at school. Sure it's nice to have fruits and veggies but feeding these kids greasy chicken fingers or pizza and nachos, their needs to be an end to this now.

It depends on what they are serving, but I like some of the stuff they have. I love the schools mashedpatatos for some reason, lol. Oh! Their macaroni and cheese is kinda okay, not much flavor, except if you get a top piece....I got one one day and the top was crusted with tis extremely strong flavoring stuff. And our pizza is good to, it tastes cool on the weird kind of bagel they have, and sometimes they have it on garlic bread with no sause(its supposed to be a breakfast pizza, iv had them before, well, better ones), sometimes they have like real pizza from like dominos or something wich is good, and the other kind they have is like a boat shaped one.

lol, isnt it funny how a luanch at school looks EXACTLY the same if they serve it like a few weeks later? And it goes in like a cycle, lol.

Hmmmm, for better foods...I dont really know.. I know some, but they wouldnt be fore school, theyd be like for a home meal. How about offering to start a salad bar if your school dosnt have one? My schools started one and a lot of people get it. (And they have a little cart with ketchup and stuff, and now they have like 30 different dressings,lol.). Hmm, well..Sometimes my school has cereal. They come in a regular bowl sized squere thing with a covor over it. Then kids eat it either plane or put some of their milk in it (or they buy 2 milks, and put one of them in). That is if you school serves milk s a drink. This next one isnt really a food, but my schools has these "water packets", thy spill sometimes, ut they are kida cool. They a like a small icepack, but its filled with water, you poke a hole somewere in it a drink it. And my school also has a vending machine with a bunch of drinks, neskwik (sp!), flavored water, and cans of juice (grape, apple, exc.)

Hope that helps! ;)

I work @ an elementary school and the cafeteria has changed the menu a bit-more fruit is offered and the carrots are offered with ranch dipping sauce-the overall menu still contains 2 much cheese/salt

the cafeteria food doesnt seem so bad at my school, they serve chicken and salad, and the vending machines are healthier (no soda, granola bars). i think we need foods with less salt cuz thats what the problem is now that sugar's gone.

The meals at our school are all frozen because they are not allowed to cook anything for some reason....but they are very bad for you, fatty stuff thats not all natural or anything, I really think they would be better off buying things to cook that are healthy. I mean, look at all the obese kids in america! I bring my lunch for a reason.
